Beauty Lee Borg

With deep sorrow, but also with gratitude for the gift of her life, we announce the passing of Beauty Borg, a beloved wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and faithful Christian. Beauty was a woman of faith who loved God and trusted in His promises. She attended Desert Way Church of Christ in Gilbert, Arizona, where she worshiped and enjoyed fellowship with her brothers and sisters in Christ. Her faith was an important part of who she was, and her family takes comfort in knowing that Beauty is now with her Maker and, by the grace of God, is likely enjoying the beauty of heaven.

Beauty's story with her husband, Jay Borg, began in a particularly memorable way. Jay first met Beauty on Sunday, Christmas Day, 2011. To Jay, Beauty became the best Christmas present he could have ever received. They were married on February 15, 2014, beginning a marriage filled with love, laughter, memories, and, as with every good marriage, an occasional debate over which one was actually the "Beast."

When meeting new people, Jay would introduce his wife by saying, "This is my wife, Beauty." He would then add, with a grin, "And, of course, that makes me the Beast." Beauty would quickly set the record straight. She would say, "He was my Beast before I met him, but he became my Prince." Jay, never one to miss an opportunity, would follow with, "Well... some days it was difficult to tell who was the Beast."

That exchange captured something special about their relationship: they loved each other deeply, but they also knew how to laugh together. Their love was found not only in the big moments, but also in the everyday moments, the teasing, the smiles, and the memories they created along the way.

Beauty is survived by her husband, Jay Borg; her beloved mother, Barbara Carver; her sisters, Anne Monroe; Elizabeth Ratcliff; Eve Cassidy and Rebecca Aittama; and her brother, Kenny Carver. She is also survived by her beloved nieces, nephews and cousins, who were an important part of her extended family and whose lives were touched by having Beauty as their aunt. Preceded in death was Her father, Gary Miller and Sister Drue Carver, brother Brad Carver.

Beauty leaves behind a family who loved her deeply and who will miss her presence more than words can express. She also leaves behind countless memories that will continue to bring smiles even through the tears.

For Jay, the loss is especially profound. He is grateful beyond words that God brought Beauty into his life and that he was blessed to call her his wife. He believes that Beauty is now with her Maker, and he holds onto the hope that, when his own life on earth is finished, he will be reunited with his beloved Beauty. Until then, Jay will carry her love and memory with him. And perhaps, when they meet again, Beauty will look at her Beast-turned-Prince and remind him who really won the argument.

Beauty was Jay's Christmas present in 2011, his beloved wife in 2014, and she will forever be one of the greatest gifts of his life. She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished.
