A Life Remembered

Obituary

David Kivila

David Kivila, a deeply loved father, son, and brother, nephew, cousin, Grandson, great grandson, passed away suddenly on October 9, 2026, at the age of 50. This was a great shock to his family and friends who never stop asking “why Davi, what happened”? Others have had no words but responded with tears and disbelief. His passing leaves his family longing for more time: another conversation, another story, another chance to hear his laughter and tell him how much he meant to them. It has been very difficult to express who Davi was in a few sentences or a few pages of paper. He meantso much and would take pages and pages on end to express his life on a piece of paper.

David was born on January 4th 1976, in Nairobi, Kenya, where he grew up before moving to the United States in 1994. He attended Madaraka Primary School, Moi Forces Academy for secondary school and attended Citrus College in the United States. He pursued extensive certificationsin behavioral health and began a career in healthcare, where his love of caring for others found purpose. As an Operations Manager, he loved taking care of patients and brought exceptional emotional intelligence to his work. He understood the importance of listening, recognizing people’s needs, and speaking up for them. As an advocate for those in his care, he offered both knowledge and compassion.

David’s life reflected the values he held dearly: kindness, generosity, curiosity, calmness and devotion to family and his work. David had a gentle heart. He rarely grew angry and approached people without meanness or vindictiveness. His family remembers him as someone with no enemies—a man who enjoyed people, welcomed conversation, and could find something to laugh about almost anywhere. David was a gifted storyteller, turning an ordinary experience into something so funny that you laughed until your sides hurt. His humor was one of the joys of being around him. There was always another story, another observation, another joke that only David could tell quite that way.

His remarkable intelligence was matched by his generosity in sharing it. When a subject interested him, he researched it thoroughly, connecting ideas and offering insights that made people see things differently. Asking David a question could open a whole new world of information. He took time to explain the background, the connections, and the things you had not even thought to ask. To his family, he was an encyclopedia with a sense of humor.

David also knew how to listen. He gave people time to finish their stories. He never rushed them toward the point or made them feel that their words were taking too long. When he was in a conversation, he was present. His attention was a quiet, a meaningful expression of his care.

Family mattered deeply to David. He wanted to make his parents proud, and his mother’s opinion held a special place in his heart. He cared about how his family saw him because their love and respect meant so much to him. During get together occasions family looked up to David to advise where and what people were going eat. He new almost every good joint for family outings, and organized with joy and commitment He was a perfect shoulder to lean on.

His daughter, Leona, was his princess and his light. She held his heart in the palm of her hand. He loved dancing with her, taking her for walks, making her laugh, and simply being beside her. In those moments together, his tenderness as a father was unmistakable.

Happiness for David was feeding the people he loved. He was an excellent barbecue cook and would spend hours outside grilling meat for his family, even in the cold, preparing his beloved kachumbari to go alongside it. Those meals gave everyone time together, with David at the grill doing what he loved.

He enjoyed music across genres, especially gospel music, reggae and dancing. He also remembered what others loved, sending his sister trance music because he knew it would make her happy. It was a small gesture that said something lasting about him: he paid attention.

At the stores, banks, clinics and restaurants he frequented, employees knew David. He enjoyed knowing them, too—their names, their stories, the conversations that turned familiar places into ones of connection.

We will miss his voice, his stories, his thoughtful answers, and the laughter that so often followed him. We will miss the meals he prepared and the time he so freely gave. Most of all, we will miss David himself.

David, there was still so much we wanted to share with you. We are grateful for every ordinary day that is now a treasured memory, because you were there.

You are deeply loved. You are profoundly missed. And you will always be our Davi.

David was preceded in death by his grandparents, great grandparents and his brother, Peter uncles, unties and cousins. He is survived by his beloved daughter, Leona; his mother, Anastasia Kivila and father, Paul Kivila. He was brother to Susans, Rose, Lucia, Pauline, Mark (Michael), Alex, Denis, Ann, John. Nephew to Steve, Agnes, Anna, Philo, Simon, Henry, Kiagiri and Faith among many others unties and uncles. Cousin to Jaqueline, Nganga, Kennedy, Britney among many other cousins.Uncle to: Emmah, Nathan, Obiora, Tochukwu, Ikenna, Arthur, Peter, Mutindi, Jeremy Ezira, Mesiah, Lauric among many others

2 Timothy 4:7-8 “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that day, and not only to me but also to all who have loved his appearing.

Rest in Peace David! May your love stay with all that felt your love
Amina(Francis Mathenge Family) October 30, 2026
Our dear beloved David, oh how we will miss that radiant smile. How you always greeted us with so much love and warmth. We will miss all of the laughs, and your good cooking. Me especially the cabbage and soups! In any dull room you could lighten the mood with a joke or two and left us all smiling. We cherish all of these memories. Our son Laurick says that you were the best Uncle ever! Although he never got to test drive your Mercedes, he will never forget you teasing him about it! Our twins boys will always know that their Uncle was there from the moment they came into this world, and he loved them dearly. I myself am so glad that I got to experience one of the greatest moment of my life with you, my wedding. You really brought the moves and the laughs and that’s just who you are! We will really miss you. May God give you eternal rest and peace and most importantly unconditional, divine love.

A Heartfelt Tribute to David Kivila 🕊️❤️ Today, I attended the memorial service of David Kivila, a man I never had the privilege of knowing personally. Yet, as I sat there listening to the stories, memories, and beautiful tributes shared by those whose lives he touched, I felt as though I had known him for years. It is amazing how someone’s life can touch your heart even when your paths never crossed. Through the words of his family, friends, and loved ones, I was reminded that the true measure of a person’s life is not simply how long they lived, but the love they shared, the lives they touched, and the legacy they leave behind. I walked into that memorial as a stranger to David, but I walked away feeling connected to his story and deeply moved by the impact of his life. Today reminded me that life is precious, tomorrow is never promised, and what truly matters is how we make others feel while we are here. To David’s family and loved ones, may God comfort you, strengthen you, and give you peace during this difficult season. David Kivila, I never met you in life, but today, through the people who loved you, I felt like I knew you. Your story touched my heart. May your soul rest in eternal peace. 🕊️ “To everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven.” — Ecclesiastes 3:1 Rest in peace, David Kivila. Your legacy lives on.

Davi, bado its hard to believe this, It’s hard to believe that you’re gone. My eyes fill with tears, and my heart aches, but the beautiful memories of you are ones I will keep and cherish forever. I remember meeting you through my husband, your very good friend, 15 years ago, during a small birthday dinner he had organized. He told me, “You’ll meet my good friend Davi. I promise you’ll like him and get along. He’s good people.”And you certainly lived up to those words and beyond! We spent quite a lot of time together before you moved to Arizona, and every moment with you was filled with laughter, endless stories, music, BBQs, your signature kachumbari, and dancing. You brought so much joy and happiness to everyone around you, Davi. Even after you moved to Arizona, our visits were always filled with happiness, and it was always wonderful to see you. How I wish we could still look forward to see you when we visit Arizona. Those visits will never be the same without you, and it’s heartbreaking to know that we won’t get to share more moments with you again. The heartache and pain of losing you are immense. You will be deeply missed, Davi, but the memories we made together will forever hold a special place in our hearts. Rest well, dear friend. We take comfort in knowing that, one day, we shall see you again. To David’s family, thank you for sharing David with us and allowing us to be part of his life. Please accept my heartfelt condolences. May God surround you with His love, comfort, and peace during this incredibly difficult time. Rest in eternal peace, Davi. You will never be forgotten. Kwaheri Davi, tutaonana baadaye.

David, there is so much to say about you. Since I met you in 2014, I have known you as a hardworking man who had a solution to almost everything, if not everything. Your presence could light up even the darkest room. You were funny and had a way of making every challenge we faced seem easier to handle. You connected so well with all of us, and I will truly miss your jokes, your laughter, and the warmth you brought into our lives. You loved tennis, and every time we met, we would discuss our favorite players and their rankings. Novak Djokovic was one of your favorites. I will miss those conversations and the enthusiasm you brought to them. The last time I saw you, we listened to “Living Proof” by Deola Rae and “Blessed, Grateful, Thankful” by Raychelle Dena together while we worked. That is a memory I will always treasure, and those songs will always remind me of you. Rest peacefully, David. You are deeply missed and will always be remembered.

Davi, Fare the Well dear friend. You were a loving, kind and cheerful person. I am thankful to have known you. I thank God for all the fun times we had in our youth. May your star shine bright always. May you be your daughter's guardian angel. Mama Davi and family, may God's grace continue to be sufficient for you. May he give you strength for the days to come. David, You are such a blessing, and a son to me. You made my day whenever i met you. We shared many laughters with you. I remember one day you came to my house and you poured your hearts desire to get saved to me. It was a moment that i will never forget because that is the most important day to you and to God our father. We prayed for you and you gave your life to Christ. Days, weeks, months and years will pass away, but your contagious smile will never be forgotten. I will forever miss you David. Rest in peace our son David until we meet again at Jesus feet. When Boyz II Men sang, “It’s so hard to say goodbye to yesterday,” today we are finding out just how true those words are. Yesterday is now the memories we will carry with us going forward. Memories of how you made us feel. Memories of your countless stories, the jokes that led to endless laughter, and the cheers and “dilly dillies” we shared celebrating good times and life itself. Yesterday is also the pictures and videos we have of you, capturing those moments we shared together. Moments that may have seemed ordinary back then but mean so much more today. And the hardest part of yesterday is knowing that we won’t get to make new memories with you. No more pictures, no more videos, no more stories, and no more laughter together. All we have now are the beautiful memories you left behind. Yes, it really is hard to say goodbye to yesterday. But life is a journey, and as I look back on that journey, I’m grateful that our paths crossed. I’m grateful I got to know you, that you considered me a friend, and that we eventually got to share a home as roommates. Those are memories I will always treasure. Thank you for being part of my journey and for all the wonderful memories we created along the way. Koma nesa, my friend. Rest easy.

It is with profound sorrow and a heavy heart that I pay tribute to the life and memory of my beloved brother, the late David Kivila. Your passing is a great loss to your family, friends, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing you. It is difficult to accept that you are gone, and the pain of losing you is beyond words. I extend my heartfelt condolences to your parents, Paul and Anastasia Kivila, your child, and the entire family during this difficult time. Losing a loved one brings immeasurable pain, and losing someone so young leaves behind questions that are difficult to answer. My thoughts and prayers are with the family as they navigate this heartbreaking season. David, you were a hardworking man who took pride in your career and responsibilities. You were a loving father who cherished spending time with your child. I will always remember how you played with your little one and dedicated so much of your time to being present in your child's life. The love and attention you gave your child reflected the special bond you shared. You were also a caring and responsible son who helped your parents with household chores, showing your commitment to your family and your willingness to stand by the people you loved. Beyond your hard work and family responsibilities, David, you had a special gift for making people laugh. You were always cracking jokes, bringing laughter and happiness into the lives of those around you. We will miss your jokes, your laughter, and the happiness you brought into every gathering. It is hard to imagine those moments without you. The jokes that once made us laugh will now become precious memories that may bring both smiles and tears to our faces. And David, how can we forget the barbecue; the "nyama choma?" Those moments of gathering, sharing food, laughing, and enjoying one another's company will never be the same without you. You brought a special kind of joy to those occasions, and we will miss every bit of it. As a devoted fan of Manchester City, you had something you were always passionate about. Even the conversations, excitement, and jokes surrounding football will remind us of you. And, brother, your favorite Indian food and soup. We will miss those moments, too. It is amazing how the simplest things, the meals we shared, the jokes we exchanged, and the ordinary days we spent together become the most valuable memories when someone we love is no longer here. Why did you have to go so soon, brother? Why did life have to take you away when there were still so many memories to create, so many jokes to share, so many nyama choma gatherings to enjoy, and so many beautiful moments left to experience with your child and family? These are questions that grief leaves in our hearts, even when we know that some answers may never come. Your departure reminds me that life is fragile and that we should never take the people we love for granted. You have left behind a legacy of hard work, fatherhood, family devotion, friendship, laughter, and unforgettable memories. Although your time with us was shorter than we wished, the impact you made will continue to live in our hearts. As I mourn your passing, I find comfort in the words of Matthew 5:4: “Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.” May God grant Paul, Anastasia, your child, and the entire family the strength to endure this painful season. May He comfort their hearts, give them peace in moments of sorrow, and surround them with love when the pain feels unbearable. David, you are gone, but you will never be forgotten, brother. We will miss your jokes, your laughter, your hard work, your love for your child, your care for your parents, your passion for Manchester City, the nyama choma, and even your favorite Indian food and soup. These little things may seem ordinary to others, but to us, they are now priceless memories of a life we were blessed to share with you. Rest peacefully, my brother. Though your voice has fallen silent, the memories you created will continue to speak. Though your chair may be empty at our gatherings, your place in our hearts will never be taken. Your child will carry a part of you into the future, and those who loved you will continue to honor your memory. Until we meet again, David, may your soul rest in eternal peace. Gone too soon, loved forever, and remembered always. With deepest sympathy, Nimrod Kimeli

Dear Anna, There is a season and a time for everything under heaven. A time to be born and a time to die. A time to laugh and a time to cry. Be comforted to know that you are in God's perfect plan. It is painful but He will heal all of you as a family. Love.

I met David a year ago at their home when they were hosting Bishop Mark Kariuki. I had come to help with the cooking. I remember vividly how he respectfully, joyfully and kindly assisted me find whatever I needed since I was new to their kitchen. This he did with a smile and I could not help but think of what an awesome human he is. His presence here on earth will be truly missed as heaven gains a saint. To live is Christ and to die is gain. In God's precious arms he rests till we meet him again in glory. I speak comfort and peace that surpasses all human understanding to the entire Kivila family. Our prayers are with you. In God's precious arms he rests till we meet him again in glory! Shalom. Shalom. Shalom.🙏🙏🙏 Everlyn Njoroge & Family.

In Loving Memory of David — My Friend, My Brother David, it is so hard to believe that I am writing these words about you. You were not just my friend; you were my brother, and the memories we shared are memories I will carry in my heart for the rest of my life. When I think about you, one memory will forever stand out. When I was still new in America i had bought a car but didn’t know how to drive and I needed to go all the way to Los Angeles to take my nursing license exam (CNA) we lived in Lavern at the time. In David style, you told me, “I got you, sis!” and without hesitation, you offered to take me. That was the kind of friend you were—you showed up when it mattered. Well, being inexperienced as well, that trip became a memory neither of us could ever forget. We got into a terrible accident, one that could have changed everything. But by the grace of God, we both survived. We lived to tell the story, to laugh about our experiences growing up, and look back at the many chapters of our lives. Looking back now, that memory carries an entirely different weight. I am so grateful that God gave us more time after that day. The last time I saw you, we reminisced about life, but most importantly, you were so excited as you talked about your baby girl. I could see the happiness and pride in you as you shared pictures of her. You were such a doting father, and it was beautiful to see how much you loved your baby girl. Your face lit up when you spoke about her. I could see that being her father brought you a special kind of joy. My heart especially goes out to her. I pray that as she grows, she will always know how deeply her father loved her, how proud he was to be her dad, and how his face lit up simply talking about her. It’s difficult to find the right words when someone who meant so much is no longer with us. David you touched our lives in ways that will never be forgotten. The laughter we shared, the conversations, the good times, and even the ordinary moments have now become precious memories that we will carry through life forever. Your life may have ended too soon, but your genuine, unconditional love, caring nature, friendship, and the precious memories you gave us will live on forever. I wish we had more time here on earth, but you completed your race, and now you are resting in the loving arms of our Heavenly Father. David, may you rest peacefully knowing that just as you loved you were loved beyond measure, appreciated, and that you mattered. You will be deeply missed and never forgotten. Until we meet again, my friend, my brother. LOVE ALWAYS, TABZ

Rudy As I was accepted into the Kivila Family I got to know David not just as a worker, but as a friend and brother. David was the kind of person who didn't just occupy space in a room; he brought light and laughter into it. David listened completely, gave generously, and reminded us through their actions that the greatest gift you can give another human being is simply being present. David taught us to love without keeping score and to face life's challenges with grace and integrity.  That was David's superpower—he paid attention to the things most people overlook. He noticed when you were struggling even when you were pretending to be fine. He remembered details you'd mentioned once in passing. He showed up for the hard moments, not just the easy ones.  He taught me that true friendship isn't about being there for celebrations—anyone can do that. True friendship is paying attention, remembering, and showing up. David made me a better friend and brother. David showed me what real friendship looks like. He taught me to pay how to pay my undivided attention, to remember and to show up—especially on the hard days. I promise to keep doing that for others, the way he did it for me. There was no limit to our conversation, some tough some serious but we always found our way to laughter. I'm going to miss the calls and talks. But I'm going to honor your memory by being that friend for someone else—the friend who remembers, who notices, who shows up. Thank you for the years of real friendship and brotherhood. Thank you for teaching me what it means to truly show up for people. And thank you for every talk, every text, every moment that made me feel less alone.  You will be missed, but you will never, ever be forgotten. Rest in peace my Brother. Rudy and Jessica Cabrera

In Loving Memory of David Kivila Some losses are so painful that words can never fully express the emptiness left behind. Today, our hearts are broken as we say goodbye to our beloved nephew, David Kivila, a young man whose life, laughter, and beautiful spirit touched so many people. David was more than just a nephew. He was a blessing to our family, a source of joy, and a young man whose cheerful nature brought light into the lives of those around him. He had a special way of making people smile, and his laughter was one of the most beautiful things about him. It was the kind of laughter that filled a room, lifted heavy hearts, and made ordinary moments unforgettable. David was loved by many, and it is easy to understand why. His cheerful personality made him special, and the memories he created with family and friends will forever remain in our hearts. It is heartbreaking to accept that someone so young, with so much life ahead of him, has been taken from us. We are left with painful questions, countless memories, and a silence where his laughter once lived. We wish we could have one more conversation, one more smile, and one more moment to tell him just how much he meant to us. But even through our tears, we thank God for the time we were blessed to share with David. Though his time with us was far too short, the love he gave and the joy he brought will never be erased by death. DAVID, YOU MAY BE GONE FROM OUR SIGHT, BUT YOU WILL NEVER BE GONE FROM OUR HEARTS. Your laughter will continue to echo in our memories. Your smile will remain in our minds. Your name will forever be spoken with love, and your life will always be remembered as a precious gift to our family. 💔 TO YOUR BELOVED DAUGHTER, LEONA WANJIKU Perhaps one of the most heartbreaking parts of this loss is knowing that you have left behind your precious daughter, Leona Wanjiku, who will now have to grow up without her daddy by her side. Leona Wanjiku, one day you will grow old enough to understand just how much your daddy was loved. There may be birthdays when you wish he were there, special moments when you long to share your achievements with him, and difficult days when all you want is to hear his voice and feel his loving embrace. Those moments may not be easy, but we pray that you will always be surrounded by people who love you and will help you keep your daddy's memory alive. You are a precious part of David's story, a beautiful reminder of his life, and a priceless legacy of the love he leaves behind. May God watch over you as you grow. May He protect your steps, provide for your needs, guide your future, and surround you with people who will love and support you throughout your journey in life. When you miss your daddy, may God comfort your heart. When life becomes difficult, may He give you strength. And when you wonder what your daddy was like, may those who knew him share stories of his cheerful spirit, his beautiful laughter, and the joy he brought into the lives of so many people. Leona Wanjiku, where your daddy can no longer walk beside you, may God walk with you. Where his arms can no longer hold you, may God's everlasting arms carry you. And where his voice can no longer comfort you, may God's love bring peace to your heart. May you grow up knowing that your daddy was deeply loved and that his memory will forever be treasured by those whose lives he touched. 🕯️ REST IN PEACE, OUR DEAR DAVID

Davie it still doesn't feel real that you are gone. One day you were here with your voice, your laugh, your presence and now all i have is the ache of missing you. My heart breaks twice. First for you, gone too soon .And then for those you left behind who loved you more than life itself. Been brought up in one house in Madaraka Estate as your Small Aunt made us close. Playing football at Madaa pry was not a joke with all the dust all over this makes me 😭 😭. For my sister, your mother. No mother should ever have to bury her son. She gave you life, she raised you with all her love, and now she has to learn how to live with this pain that has no name. The pain of a mother losing her child never leaves, we see it in her eyes, and my heart shatters for her. For Dad you raised David with a lot of love care., guidance and you protected him Soo well, I know David did a lot for you and my questions is now who will fill the gap 😭😭😭? I don't know what to say but God is in control! And for your little daughter. Your precious baby girl. She will grow up with stories of her father of how strong you were, how much you loved her, how proud you were to be her dad. She is too young to understand this loss now, but she will feel it. We promise you, we will never let her forget you. We will tell her every day that her father loved her more than anything in this world, you were a son, a father, a nephew, a friend. You were loved so deeply, and you are missed even more deeply. Rest well, my nephew. We will help my sister and my bro in Law whom you loved more than anything else and we will take care of your daughter. ( Abujubuju)That is the promise we make to you. This loss has been painfully hard—very, very tough on all of us. The void you leave behind is immense, and I miss you more than words can express. On behalf of myself, my wife, and our children, we bid you a peaceful farewell, my dear brother. Though you are no longer with us in body, your spirit, your laughter, and your legacy will continue to live on in our hearts forever. We love you so much, David. Rest in peace, bro.

It is with profound sorrow that I pay tribute to the life and memory of the late David Kivila. His passing is a great loss to his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched. As a staff member of Pastlino Manor, I extend my heartfelt condolences to his parents, Paul and Anastasia Kivila, and the entire family during this difficult time. I recognize that the loss of a loved one, especially a child, brings immeasurable pain and grief. My thoughts and prayers are with the family as they navigate this heartbreaking season. Although David's life has come to an end, his memory will remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His passing reminds me of the preciousness of life and the importance of cherishing every moment with those we hold dear. As I join the family in mourning this profound loss, I find comfort in the words of Matthew 5:4: “Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.” May God grant Paul, Anastasia, and the entire family the strength to endure this difficult period, the peace to sustain them through their grief, and the comfort of knowing that they are not alone. May the soul of David Kivila rest in eternal peace. Though he is gone from our sight, his memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him. With deepest sympathy, Nimrod Kimeli

David my brother, I wish I had the power to bring you back, but I know you might not even want too any way. I know by now you are exploring and glancing at the streets of Gold with your street smart abilities even trying to show Moses your skills just remember he lead the Israelites out of Egypt before navigation systems were discovered and has been there way longer than you. You were the most patient, loving, welcoming and joyful person I knew, add to that the best family entertainer . You forgave without reservation or resentment. To you we all mattered none was more important than the other, your love was universal. You lead us in your own quiet way with care, your words healed the wounds caused by other people. The pain is unbearable your smile and endless jokes kept me going. You made me laugh even when I did not want too. Arizona streets actually look different and are difficult to navigate without you. I don’t remember where the best barbecue restaurant you showed me is, never used to worry about those things. Your unique energy touched many of us and I will dearly miss you rest in peace my brother until that day when we meet again.

IN LOVING MEMORY OF OUR DEAR BROTHER, DAVID It is with deep sorrow that my family and I pay tribute to our dear brother, David, whose passing has left an unfillable void in our family. David was humble, loving, kind hearted, and a truly wonderful human being. His wonderful sense of humour brought joy to those around him, and his gentle spirit made him a blessing to everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. One of my most cherished memories is from my last visit to America with my family. David took us out, and we spent precious time sharing stories, laughing together, and reminiscing about his childhood growing up in Nairobi. He also kindly showed us his place of work and shared with us what he did. These beautiful moments remain treasured in my heart, and I thank God for the gift of having shared that time with him. As a family, we shall miss David more than words can express, his kindness, humour, love, and the happiness he brought into our lives. The void he has left can never truly be filled, for David was one of a kind and will forever hold a special place in our hearts. We find comfort in our faith and entrust his soul to God’s infinite mercy, praying that he may be welcomed into His heavenly kingdom. Jesus reminds us in John 11:25–26: “I am the resurrection, and the life: whoever believes in me, even if he dies, will live, and everyone who lives and believes in me will never die.” David, thank you for your love, your laughter, your kindness, and the beautiful memories you have left us with. Though you are no longer with us, your love and the memories we shared will remain with us forever. You will always be in our hearts and will never be forgotten. We hold on to the hope and promise of our faith that, in God’s time, we shall meet again. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May the soul of David, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

Today I write with a heavy heart to remember David Kivila my brother in law. A man whose life touched us all deeply. I first met David in 2006 and during my wedding he stood beside me as one of my groomsmen. From that day forward, he showed the same spirit that defined him. Full of life, love, kindness, and genuine care for others. He was a wonderful brother to my wife, a devoted son to his parents, a great father to his daughter and a loving uncle to our children. His love for God was quiet but steady and it shaped the way he lived. His passing has left us heartbroken, we miss him deeply yet we remain grateful for the time we were given with him. David, we love you. May your soul rest in perfect peace. Rest well, my brother. You have finished your race. From Mr. Sam Ifeacho

Today we honor my brother David, a kind, generous, caring, loving and truly a good human being. David was funny, always positive, and incredibly smart. He loved God deeply, and that love showed in the way he treated people. He had no enemies. Everyone who knew him loved him, because he made it easy to do so. He was a devoted father to his precious daughter Leona, a wonderful brother-in-law to my husband and an awesome uncle to our sons. His love for his family, friends, nephews, and nieces was remarkable, steady, generous, and full of heart. We can never forget the wonderful barbecues he made for our family, his laughter, the great sense of humor, his caring and loving personality that he had. David took great care of our parents, his daughter Leona and worked hard every day at the business to ensure that everything was done well. We miss him so much but we hold onto the hope of faith that this is not goodbye forever. We will meet again. David, thank you for the light you brought into our lives, the void you have left can never be filled. We love you. Farewell my brother.
