A Life Remembered

Obituary

Robert Arthur Fox

Robert A. Fox, 59, of Gilbert Arizona, passed away on May 22, 2026.

Bob served his country as a United States Marine during Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm. He was deeply proud of his service and treasured the lifelong bonds he formed with his fellow Marines.

Following his service, he spent over 20 years as a business owner and subcontractor specializing in acoustical ceiling installation. He built a reputation for quality craftsmanship, honesty, and reliability that earned the respect of clients, employees, and colleagues in the construction industry.

He was an avid gamer, comic book collector, ancient coin restorer, and a devoted UFC enthusiast who rarely missed watching a fight. He enjoyed connecting with others through his hobbies and sharing his interests with those around him.

Bob had a natural affinity for animals and was devoted to the Rottweiler breed. He shared his heart with many loyal companions throughout his life. Family and friends find comfort in knowing that he has been reunited with the five beloved "Rotties" who went before him.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Deborah (Greeson) Fox; his daughter, Lindsay Fox (Dylan Bacon) and a precious granddaughter; his son, Brenton Fox (Bibianna); his mother, Dianne Jean (Griffy) Damron; his sister, Sheila (Kelly) Madrigal; and his brother, Jason Kelly.

He was preceded in death by his father, David E. Fox; his paternal grandparents, Robert L. Fox and Shirley (Jacobson) Fox; and his maternal grandparents, Clarence Griffy and Lillian (Blehm) Ferrer.

Family, friends, and fellow Marines are invited to join in remembering Bob, sharing fond memories, and enjoying breakfast burritos—his favorite breakfast—at a casual gathering on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. at the Fox family home, 21313 S. 154th St., Gilbert, AZ 85298. Bob wouldn't have wanted anyone dressed up, so leave the formal attire at home. T-shirts (silly, obnoxious, USMC, Marvel, UFC, or otherwise), shorts, and comfortable clothes are encouraged.

To The Family, Please Accept My Heartfelt Condolences. Truly the loss of a precious loved one is most difficult. Please find comfort in the promise our most loving Heavenly Father Jehovah God gives us in Revelation 21:4"And He will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more; neither will mourning; nor outcry; nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away." Yes, We can look forward to a time soon to come when all suffering including death will be done away with forever.

Bobby was my nephew. I got to babysit him when he was an infant. I remember giving him a whole peeled banana. He poked half of it in his mouth, all at once, I thought he would choke, but he didn’t. Debbie was a devoted wife to him, through out the good and not so good times. I have great respect for her. I know he is in a better place now, with his pups. He was such a trooper! I loved him very much, and look forward to seeing him again.

My forever memorys of my favorite cousin was when I was about 6 and he was 15 he helped me did a deep hole to be a fort at our Grandpa Fox's house. Unfortunately with life we grew apart but he always remained in my heart. We had another great memory of fishing in Idaho in the early 90's, this news breaks my heart and my prayers are with Debbie and Brent and Lindsey. Till we meet again old buddy.
